It's A Girl!!!

8 pounds, 2 ounces and twenty inches long! Taylor Alexandra Christina Joyce was born Saturday, February 28th at 12:06 p.m. Now I am a grandmother of 2 beautiful children. Soon my son will be up here with my new granddaughter.

Today Bonnie was here and took me for a wonderful walk in the wheelchair. I got to breathe fresh air and then we came back to the house and Bernie and Natalie were here. We just finished an absolutely wonderful dinner with chicken, mashed potatoes and apple sauce. It was delicious. This morning my friend Jamie took Missy for exercise. She does it all the time. I am so grateful. Tomorrow John and Eileen are coming to visit. I just want to say thank you to everyone that responds. It makes me feel so special.

Love,
Christina

Hi Christina,

Congrats on another addition to the family. That is such wonderful news!

I'll be visiting you very soon. I would love to take you out for a walk if the weather is nice enough and if you're up for it. And if I can get someone to come with me, it would be great to take Missy out too.

Just wanted to check in and send you my love. Miss you and I'll see you soon.

Love,
- vanessa

Congratulations to you and the whole family! I was so delighted to hear the news, and I can only imagine how excited you are to meet the new baby. I'm sure that Patrick and Jennifer must be so excited to finally meet this little girl, and share her with her grandma! And, what fun for little Paul, a fascinating new addition to the family, I'm sure...I'm glad to hear that you're doing well, and seem to have been so busy with wonderful things. I thought of you the other morning when, on a visit with old friends in Chicago, we decided to have brunch at a Swedish restaurant - it was a delicious, very high calorie breakfast with all sorts of pastries. I know you would approve! However, I wish you'd been there to translate, as there was Swedish quotes on display that none of us could read...Wishing you all the best, and much love -

Congratulations on your new grandchild, Christina! Since Pat told me about your blog, I've been following along and getting to experience a bit of your life and of all the people who love you. I treasure our brief time together when we met in Chicago for Patti's 50th birthday. I remember going out to eat with my sisters and you in Evanston and also of your building a beautiful snowman. Most of all I remember nearly every day how you taught me to hold my yarn in a so much more sensible way, one with less strain for my hands but also with more speed.

I'm so glad that you have so many beautiful friends and family to be with.

love
